North Grafton, MA – Homefield Credit Union recently partnered with the Cooperative Credit Union Association in a successful blanket and cold weather clothing drive to aid the needy throughout the state. Since the inception of this program in 2011, state credit unions have donated more than 2,000 blankets to those in need throughout Massachusetts.
Through enthusiastic employee and member support, Homefield CU was able to amass dozens of blankets and articles of winter clothing. To be sure local communities were served, the Credit Union teamed up with the Reverend Laura Goodwin from St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Grafton to distribute the donations. On an ongoing basis, St. Andrew’s works with All Saints Church in Worcester, MA providing food, clothing and shelter to the homeless in Worcester.
Lloyd Hamm, President & CEO of Homefield CU was delighted with the results of this recent drive. “We strongly believe in the credit union mission of People Helping People. Our blanket drive is just one way that we have been able to help those in need. I am thankful for the individuals and families that generously donated to make the drive a success.”
Community service is high on the list of priorities for Homefield Credit Union. Additional initiatives are always underway to address the various needs of the local communities it serves.
